Patricia Heaton Reveals Why She Hides Her Emmys Away in a Harry Potter-Style ‘Zoom Room’ Behind Her Kitchen
Patricia Heaton may be a two-time Emmy winner, but don’t expect to see her trophies displayed front and center in her home. Instead, the Everybody Loves Raymond star keeps them tucked away in a surprising spot.
“I like to keep my career separate from my home,” Heaton, 66, revealed in Us Weekly’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” feature. “So my Emmy awards are in a little Zoom room behind the laundry room, which is behind the kitchen. It’s my version of Harry Potter under the stairs.”
Heaton won her Emmys in 2000 and 2001 for her portrayal of Debra Barone on the beloved sitcom. Her second win was particularly special because it was presented by one of her idols, Mary Tyler Moore.
