Vijay Sethupathi is a popular Indian actor and film producer who is primarily known for his work in the Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil language film industry. He began his acting career as a background actor in Tamil movies.
He made his first lead role appearance in the Indian Tamil-language drama film “Thenmerku Paruvakaatru” (2010). He then appeared in the Indian Tamil-language horror thriller film, “Pizza” (2012) which brought him widespread recognition.
Vijay Sethupathi rose to fame for his versatile roles in numerous successful films including “Sundarapandian” (2012), “Pizza” (2012), “Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom” (2012), “Soodhu Kavvum” (2013), “Vikram Vedha” (2017), “96” (2018), “Super Deluxe” (2019), “Master” (2021), and “Vikram” (2022).
Vijay Sethupathi has received several awards, including one National Film Award, two Filmfare Awards South, and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. In 2003, Vijay Sethupathi married his long-time girlfriend, Jessy Sethupathi, whom he had met and dated online. The couple has two children, a son named Surya and a daughter named Shreeja.
