Robert Pattinson may be known as Batman, but he’s also discovered another superpower—being a hands-on dad!
The Mickey 17 star, 38, recently shared that he’s become a bit of a pro when it comes to diaper duty since welcoming his first child, a daughter, with actress and singer Suki Waterhouse in March 2024.
“I’m an expert now,” Pattinson proudly told Extra at the London premiere of Mickey 17 on February 13. “I’ve mastered the stealth diaper change—so quick, she doesn’t even realize it happened!”
But that’s not the only thing he’s celebrating about fatherhood. Pattinson also revealed that his little one is already a champion sleeper.
“I hate to brag, but she’s been the most incredible sleeper since birth,” he admitted.
Pattinson and Waterhouse, 33, have been together since 2018 and welcomed their daughter last year. The proud dad couldn’t stop gushing about her at the Dior Homme Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 Show in Paris in June, telling a reporter, “She’s so cute! And it’s amazing how quickly their personality develops. Even at just three months old, I could already see glimpses of who she is.”
And while fatherhood has come with its surprises, one thing Pattinson never expected was how much he’d love the way his baby smells.
“I used to think people were just talking about baby powder when they said babies smell amazing,” he told Vogue
Waterhouse, on the other hand, is just as smitten with Pattinson as a dad. At the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2024, she couldn’t help but rave about his parenting skills, calling him “the greatest!”
In another interview with Today the same month, she shared how much Pattinson actually enjoys changing diapers. “He thinks it’s fun,” she laughed. “The surprise factor and everything.”
Waterhouse has also opened up about their incredible relationship, which has only grown stronger over the years. “I’m honestly shocked that I’ve been this happy with someone for nearly five years,” she told The Sunday Times in 2023. “I still get excited when I see his name pop up on my phone, even for a text. I think he feels the same way. We always have so much to talk about, and he just makes me laugh.”
Looks like Pattinson has truly found his greatest role yet—being a dad!
