Millie Bobby Brown surprised her The Electric State co-star Chris Pratt when she revealed her real name in a recent interview.
During a March 6 chat with BuzzFeed UK, the actors played a game where they had to guess each other’s middle names.
Pratt, 45, confidently guessed “Bobby” as Millie’s middle name, but she quickly corrected him.
“Bobby is actually a stage name,” Millie, 21, admitted. “My real middle name is Bonnie, but I changed it for fun.”
Pratt was visibly shocked and responded, “Oh sh–!”
Speaking Out Against Unrealistic Beauty Standards
Millie’s name reveal comes after she spoke out about people criticizing her appearance as she grows older.
In a powerful March 3 Instagram video, the Stranger Things star addressed the public scrutiny she has faced since starting in the industry at just 10 years old.
“People act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time,” she said. “I refuse to apologize for growing up. I won’t make myself smaller to fit unrealistic expectations.”
Millie called out society’s tendency to criticize women instead of celebrating them and questioned why negative comments are so common.
“Why is the knee-jerk reaction to say something horrible rather than something nice?” she asked.
Matt Lucas Apologizes for His Comments
British comedian Matt Lucas, 51, was among those Millie called out after he joked that she had a “mommy makeover.”
After facing backlash, Lucas apologized on March 3, explaining that he never meant to insult her.
“I thought you looked terrific, and I was mortified when the press said I ‘slammed’ you,” he wrote on Instagram. “I think you’re brilliant.”
Despite the criticism, Millie remains focused on her career and empowering young women to embrace growing up.
