Joe Rogan is an American stand-up comedian, ex-athlete, mixed martial arts commentator, podcaster, and entrepreneur. Rogan began his career as a stand-up comedian in August 1988 in the Boston area.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1994, Rogan signed a deal with Disney, appeared as an actor on the television comedies Hardball and NewsRadio. Later he worked at local comedy clubs. In 1997, he began working for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as an interviewer and commentator.
Rogan released her first comedy special in 2000 and produced seven more after that. Since 2001 he has hosted several television shows, including Fear Factor, The Man Show, and Joe Rogan Questions Everything.
In 2009, Rogan started his first podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience”, which became one of the most listened to podcasts worldwide. In high school, Rogan practiced taekwondo and earned a black belt at the age of 15.

Joe Rogan Biography
Joe Rogan was born on 11 August 1967, in Newark, New Jersey as Joseph James Rogan. His parents are of three-quarters Italian and one-quarter Irish descent. Rogan’s father, Joseph, worked as a police officer in Newark.
At the age of five, Rogan’s parents divorced, and his father has not been in contact with him since he was only seven years old. When Rogan was seven years old, his family moved to San Francisco, California. After that, when he was eleven, they moved one more time to Gainesville, Florida.
Once in an interview, Joe said of his father: “All I remember of my dad are these brief, violent flashes of domestic violence… But I don’t want to complain about my childhood. Nothing bad ever really happened to me… I don’t hate him.”
They later moved to Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, where he attended Newton South High School. He graduated from school in 1985 with a high school diploma. He attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston but soon he found it pointless and dropped out before graduation.

According to some media reports, in 2001, Rogan was in a relationship with American actress and reality star Jerri Manthey. In 2009, Rogan married a former cocktail waitress, Jessica Ditzel.
The couple has two beautiful daughters; first, Lola Rogan, who was born in 2008, and second, Rosy Rogan was born in 2010. Rogan is also the stepfather of his wife’s first daughter, Kayja Rose.
In August 2020, Joe Rogan moved into a $14 million villa in Austin, Texas with his family. He has white spot disease on his hands and feet. He is highly critical of the Catholic Church and, based on his experiences as a former member, believes that it is an institution of oppression.

Stand-Up Comedian
At first, Rogan had no intention of becoming a professional stand-up comedian. Instead, he considered a career as a kickboxer. Rogan’s martial arts friends encouraged him to give it a try as a stand-up comedian because they thought he was talented.
At 21, after having worked on his program for six months he first appeared on August 27, 1988, at the Stitches Comedy Club in Boston. During his early days as a comedian, he had several part-time jobs to keep himself afloat.
In 1990 Rogan moved to New York as a full-time comedian. He didn’t make a lot of money and lived with his grandfather in Newark for six months. In 1994, Rogan started working at the Comedy Store to perform in Hollywood.
For the next thirteen years, he performed there free of charge and donated a new sound system to the club. In an interview, he said about his career: “I didn’t have a real goal until I became a stand-up comedian. I was very worried about my future. I couldn’t imagine working in a normal job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day for the rest of my life”
