Joe Gonzalez was born on November 29, 1971, in Barranquilla, Colombia, in a wealthy Christian family. He completed his studies at the Marymount International School, in Barranquilla. After completing his schooling he went to studied business for three years at the Universidad del Norte, Colombia.
