Britney Spears (born on December 2, 1981, in Mississippi, United States) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and businesswoman. She is one of the most famous and awarded artists in the history of pop music. Due to her great musical successes, she is called the “princess of pop”.
She began acting as a child, through roles in theater productions, and television series. She later gained fame by participating in the television program The Mickey Mouse Club (1992). In 1997, Spears signed a contract with Jive Records.
Her first two studio albums, …Baby One More Time (1999) and Oops!… I Did It Again (2000), were a global success and become the best-selling teenage artist of all time. During her first decade in the industry, Spears became a prominent figure in pop music and popular culture.

Britney Spears Biography
Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981, in McComb, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. She is the second child of Jamie Parnell Spears and Lynne Spears. She has an older brother, Bryan Spears, and a younger sister, Jamie Lynn, who is also a singer and actress.
At the age of three, she began taking dance classes in Kentwood and was selected for the kindergarten play. During her childhood, she also took gymnastics and singing classes and won several talent shows in state-level competitions.
