Eminem was born on 17 October 1972, Saint Joseph, Missouri, The United States as Marshall Bruce Mathers III. His father, Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr. left the family and moved to California when Eminem was only three months old.

His mother, who was 17 at birth, was a drug addict, violent, and also suffered from Munchausen syndrome. Eminem’s childhood is marked by poverty and allegations of abuse by African-Americans.
