Chelsea Handler has confirmed that she is in a new relationship. The 50-year-old comedian ignited speculation about her dating life when she was seen leaving the Vanity Fair Party with Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes, walking closely together.
During her appearance on the March 4 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Chelsea discussed her romantic life and revealed that she has been dating someone for “nine months.”
“I have someone that I’m seeing now that I’m very attracted to and that I like having sex with, and so that’s a really good like nice little thing I have going,” Chelsea stated (as reported by People).
When questioned about the seriousness of the relationship, Chelsea expressed that she does not view herself as a “relationship person.” She remarked, “I don’t believe that any of my past relationships have been serious.”
“I think of myself as a purpose person,” Chelsea said. “Like my purpose is here, to be here to have conversations like the one we’re having right now, to infuse people with optimism, to be there for women, that is my purpose in this life, whether they’re more lives or not.”
She further noted, “What I understand is that I am clear about my purpose, and any man in my life is not the central figure. That is a secondary relationship, and while I care for them and wish to honor everyone involved, it is not my primary objective in life. I do not identify as that type of person.”
In a recent interview, Chelsea also shared insights into her breakup with ex-boyfriend Jo Koy.
