Cam Newton (Born on 11 May 1989, in Georgia, U.S.) is a professional American football player and YouTube Celebrity. He plays at the position of quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).
From 2011 to 2019 he played nine seasons for the Carolina Panthers. In June 2020 he signed a contract with the New England Patriots. He won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) national championship in college football with Auburn University in the 2010 season.
The same year, he was awarded the Heisman Trophy for best college player that season. With the Carolina Panthers, he reached the 2015 season to the Super Bowl 50, but they lost that match against the Denver Broncos. In addition, Newton was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) that season.

Cam Newton Biography
Cam Newton was born on 11 May 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Cameron Jerrell Newton. He is the second of three sons of Cecil Newton, Sr. and Jackie Newton. His father, Cecil Newton, Sr. was an ex-American football player and was a safety for the 1983 Dallas Cowboys and 1984 Buffalo Bills.
Newton attended Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, where he played for the Westlake Lions football team. By age 16, he had already had 2,500 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, gaining 628 rushing yards for nine touchdowns.
He has received scholarship proposals from Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Ole Miss, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech. Newton initially attended the University of Florida, where he was a member of the Florida Gators football team in 2007 and 2008.

On September 4, 2010, Newton started the first game of Auburn University’s 2010 season in a victory over Arkansas State. He was responsible for 5 touchdowns and over 357 yards. He was named the SEC Offensive Player after his performance in the 52–26 victory.
Three weeks later, Newton had a second game with five touchdowns and over 330 yards against South Carolina Gamecocks. On October 2, 2010, Newton led Auburn to a 52–3 victory over Louisiana-Monroe, in which he completed 3 touchdown passes, including one of which went for 94 yards.
It was the longest offensive play in the history of the Auburn Tigers football. The following week he won 37–34 over Kentucky, passing 210 yards and running 198 yards and four touchdowns on the run.
On October 16, 2010, during the match against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Newton ran for 188 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns and threw one touchdown pass in the 65–43 victory. After this performance, he began to be considered by the media as one of the favorite candidates for the Heisman Trophy.
On October 23, 2010, Newton led Auburn Tigers to a 24-17 victory over LSU Tigers. He ran 217 yards in that game, hitting 1,077 this season, setting a new SEC record for yards run in a season by a quarterback, held by the other former Auburn Tiger player, Jimmy Sidle, who had held out for over 40 years.
After this game, Newton became only the second quarterback to run for over 1,000 yards in conference history. He also surpassed Pat Sullivan’s school record for touchdowns scored in a season that lasted since 1971, with 27.
After the game, Auburn rose to number 1 in the BCS rankings while Newton became the main favorite for Heisman. He won the Heisman Trophy by a wide margin, becoming the third player in the history of the institute after Pat Sullivan and Bo Jackson.
On January 13, 2011, three days after winning the BCS National Championship Final, Newton announced that he would forego his final season and enter the 2011 NFL Draft.

On April 28, 2011, Cam Newton was selected first in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. On July 29, 2011, Newton signed a four-year contract worth $22 million, with the Carolina Panthers that was fully guaranteed.
