From 2011 to 2019 he played nine seasons for the Carolina Panthers. In June 2020 he signed a contract with the New England Patriots. He won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) national championship in college football with Auburn University in the 2010 season.

Cam Newton Biography

Cam Newton was born on 11 May 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Cameron Jerrell Newton. He is the second of three sons of Cecil Newton, Sr. and Jackie Newton. His father, Cecil Newton, Sr. was an ex-American football player and was a safety for the 1983 Dallas Cowboys and 1984 Buffalo Bills.

Newton attended Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, where he played for the Westlake Lions football team. By age 16, he had already had 2,500 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, gaining 628 rushing yards for nine touchdowns.

He has received scholarship proposals from Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Ole Miss, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech. Newton initially attended the University of Florida, where he was a member of the Florida Gators football team in 2007 and 2008.
