Tesla has officially brought the refreshed Model Y Performance (MYP) to the United States. The facelifted Model Y arrived at the start of 2025, but until now, the Performance trim had only been available in Europe. Orders for U.S. buyers are finally open.
The updated Model Y Performance starts at $59,130, which is about $10,000 more than the Long Range All-Wheel Drive model. Along with more power, buyers get new bumper designs, sportier seat bolstering, and an upgraded 16-inch center display (up from 15.4 inches).
Tesla says the new MYP can sprint from 0–60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph
. For comparison, the 2020 version needed 3.6 seconds to hit 60 mph. The SUV also benefits from an updated suspension setup borrowed from the Model 3 Performance, plus a staggered track width for better handling. It rides on bold
21-inch Arachnid wheels.
Range is slightly lower than other Model Y trims. The Performance version is rated at 308 miles, compared with 327 miles for the Long Range AWD and 357 miles for the Long Range RWD.
According to Tesla’s website, the earliest U.S. deliveries are expected in December 2025.
For shoppers looking for Tesla’s quickest compact SUV, the Model Y Performance is now officially back on the table.
