Teddi Mellencamp Shares First Social Media Post After Brain Tumor Surgery

Teddi Mellencamp has broken her social media silence following her recent brain tumor surgery, sharing a heartfelt post in honor of her daughter, Dove.

On Tuesday, February 25—nearly two weeks after revealing her urgent medical procedure—Mellencamp, 43, took to Instagram to celebrate her little girl’s fifth birthday.

“Happy birthday to my miracle baby,” she wrote. “Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since you made our lives better and brighter. But no matter how grown you get, you’ll always be My Baby Dovey ❤️.”

The touching tribute was accompanied by a video collage of sweet moments over the years—snuggles, feedings, and candid mother-daughter moments. The montage also featured Dove with her siblings, Slate, 12, and Cruz, 10.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shares all three children with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave. The two were married for years before Mellencamp filed for divorce in November 2024.

A Positive Update on Mellencamp’s Recovery

Mellencamp’s post comes as her friends and Real Housewives of Orange County stars, Heather and Terry Dubrow, shared some encouraging news about her recovery.

Speaking to TMZ on February 22, Heather, 56, kept details private but reassured fans that things were looking up.

“We heard a little bit of good news today, which we’re really happy about,” she said. “We’re sending all of our good wishes and thoughts to Teddi and her family.”

Mellencamp’s Health Battle

Mellencamp first opened up about her health scare on Instagram on February 13, revealing she had been dealing with severe, persistent headaches.

“For the last several weeks, I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” she wrote in a statement against a black background. “Yesterday, the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.”

She went on to explain that two of the tumors would be removed immediately through surgery, while the smaller ones would be treated with radiation later.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she added.

Support from Family and Friends

Arroyave, 47, has been by Mellencamp’s side throughout her recovery, sharing his gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.

“Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes,” he wrote on Instagram on February 17. “Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover.”

He also posted a heartfelt photo of himself by Mellencamp’s hospital bed, showing just how much their family is rallying around her during this challenging time.

As she continues her recovery journey, Mellencamp’s strength, resilience, and the love of those around her are helping her move forward. Fans, friends, and loved ones are all cheering her on.
