George III of the United Kingdom (Born George William Frederick, June 4, 1738, Died on January 29, 1820) was the King of Great Britain and Ireland from 25 October 1760 until the union of the two countries on January 1, 1801, becoming King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until his death.It was also Duke and prince-elector of the Electorate of Hanover in the Holy Roman Empire until his promotion to King of Hanover on 12 October 1814.
