In a 2014 interview with Rediff, she expressed her belief that romance can be portrayed without a kiss.Despite the new generation of female actors open to intimate scenes, Kareena said she wouldn't reconsider her no-kissing stance, stating that Indian cinema has historically demonstrated this. She praised Indian cinema for demonstrating this and said that if other actors choose to do so, it's "good for them."
