Ex-army chief arrested after coup attempt in Bolivia fails
An army general from Bolivia was detained and charged with trying to overthrow the government by storming the presidential palace. General Juan Jose Zuniga, who was fired the day before as chief of the Bolivian army, commanded military units that took over La Paz's main square while soldiers attempted to storm government offices and armored cars crashed through the palace door.
