Desmond Doss was a United States military personal, who served as a combat medic with the 77th Infantry Division in World War II. Doss was the only conscientious objector to receive the highest US military honor "The Medal of Honor" for saving the lives of over 80–100 wounded infantrymen during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945.He was a Corporal in the United States Army assigned to the Medical Department, Company B, 1st Battalion, 307th Infantry, 77th Infantry Division.
