Stephen A. Smith Predicts Wedding Bells for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith thinks 2025 could be a big year for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift—and maybe even a wedding!

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 5, the ESPN analyst, 57, was asked if he thought the couple, both 35, would tie the knot next year.

“I’m scared to get this wrong!” Smith joked. “Travis Kelce, that’s my dawg.”

A Different Kind of Love?

Smith went on to say that Kelce has had many admirers over the years but that Taylor is different.

“She looks good. She’s incredibly talented. And she’s worth about a billion dollars,” Smith said with a laugh. “We’re going to guess a ‘yes’ on this one.”

Host Jimmy Fallon agreed, adding, “Oh, I hope that happens.”

A Love Story in the Spotlight

Kelce and Swift started dating in mid-2023, going public in September. Since then, they’ve been each other’s biggest supporters.

  • Swift has cheered on Kelce at multiple Chiefs games, including the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowls.
  • Kelce has attended several of Swift’s concerts, even joining her on stage during a London show last June.

Kelce’s Big Stage Moment

On an episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce admitted that performing with Swift was way outside his comfort zone.

“It’s very unlike me. I don’t like going on stages. But I’ve seen the show enough—might as well put me to work!” he joked.

During Swift’s Tortured Poets Department set, Kelce played a fun role, lifting her onto the catwalk while she pretended to throw a tantrum before singing I Can Do It With a Broken Heart. The playful moment ended with Swift blowing him a kiss.

What’s Next for Kelce and Swift?

Now that Kelce’s football season is over and Swift’s tour is on pause, the couple is focusing on spending quality time together.

Sources told Us Weekly in February that the pair is enjoying “laying low” and figuring out their next steps.

“There’s no way to have a relationship when they’re always working,” one source said. “Now, they finally have time to talk and make plans.”

Could one of those plans include a wedding? If Stephen A. Smith is right, 2025 might just be the year!
