Shivangi Joshi is a popular Indian actress and model known for her works in Hindi television and film. She is one of the most popular and the highest-paid Indian television actress. She is best known for her portrayal of the role of Naira Singhania Goenka in the Indian Hindi-language romantic family drama television series, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” (2009-present).
In 2013, she made her acting debut with the Indian television drama show, “Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi”, where she portrayed Trisha. Her other notable works include portraying Aayat Haider in “Beintehaa” (2013-14), Poonam Thakur in “Begusarai” (2015-16), and Anandi Chaturvedi in “Balika Vadhu 2” (2021–2022).
In 2022, Shivangi Joshi participated in the popular Indian reality and stunt television series, “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12”, where she finished in 12th place. Since 2023, she appeared in the Indian Hindi-language television romantic drama series, “Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka”, where she portrayed Aradhna Sahni.
In 2018, the UK-based newspaper Eastern Eye ranked Shivangi Joshi 5th on their List of 50 Sexiest Asian Women and 7th in 2019. In 2020, Eastern Eye ranked her 26th on their list of Top 50 Asian celebrities. Joshi was also ranked in Eastern Eye’s List of Top 30 under 30 Global Asian Stars in 2022.
The Indian English-language daily newspaper, The Times of India ranked her 7th in 2019 and 9th in 2020 on their List of 20 Most Desirable Women on Indian Television.
