In February 2007, Cannon met model Selita Ebanks. They got engaged with a public proposal in Times Square in May, but by October, they had ended their engagement.
Cannon married singer-songwriter Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008, at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas. They welcomed fraternal twins on April 30, 2011. After six years of marriage, they separated, and Cannon filed for divorce in December 2014, which was finalized in 2016.
