This single was part of his self-titled debut album released in 2003 under Jive Records, which was his only major label album.     In February 2007, Cannon met model Selita Ebanks. They got engaged with a public proposal in Times Square in May, but by October, they had ended their engagement.

    Cannon married singer-songwriter Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008, at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas. They welcomed fraternal twins on April 30, 2011. After six years of marriage, they separated, and Cannon filed for divorce in December 2014, which was finalized in 2016.

    He has three children with model Brittany Bell: a son born in February 2017, a daughter born in December 2020, and another son born in September 2022.

    Cannon and model Alyssa Scott had a son born in June 2021, who tragically passed away from brain cancer at five months old, and a daughter born in December 2022. He mentioned that he briefly tried celibacy in late 2021 while dealing with depression after his son’s death.
