On 24 June 2024, the day of her 45th birthday, Mindy Kaling announced on her Instagram page that she had given birth to a baby girl called Anne in February.
“She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined,” Kaling wrote in the caption. “When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life.”
She thanked her followers for their good greetings and kept writing, saying she is “so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline.”
In her post, Kaling included pictures of her three kids, her growing baby bulge, and a cute picture of her two little ones crammed onto what looks to be her hospital bed.

The “Mindy Project” star Kaling had not previously disclosed her pregnancy, so her news was unexpected. Anne, her new baby, joins her three-year-old siblings Katherine and Spencer.
In a March interview with Today, Kaling stated that her two oldest children already had a tight relationship.
As a mom, she added, “Literally, all you want are these glimmers of hope that your kids will get along with each other without prompting.” It is very touching to see them respond to each other when asked, “Who is your best friend?”
The “Office” actress has not revealed who her children’s father(s) is(are) or been publicly related to.
