Millie Bobby Brown Proudly Embraces Married Life with Jake Bongiovi

Millie Bobby Brown is proudly embracing her new role as Mrs. Bongiovi!

The Stranger Things star, 21, quickly corrected a photographer who mistakenly referred to her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 22, as her “boyfriend” while they posed on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest film, The Electric State, on Monday, February 24.

“He’s not my boyfriend,” Brown firmly stated in a video shared by The Hollywood Reporter on X. The footage captures Brown initially posing solo before beckoning Bongiovi to join her on the red carpet.

A Love Story Sealed in Marriage

The couple’s red carpet appearance comes ten months after their intimate wedding in May 2024. Bongiovi’s father, rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, confirmed their nuptials, saying, “They’re great, they’re absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be.”

For the event, Brown stunned in a metallic gown adorned with delicate embroidery and dramatic draping. She paired the elegant look with a short matching jacket, a gold beaded choker necklace, and diamond drop earrings. Her golden-blond hair was styled in a sophisticated updo, complementing her shimmering silver eyeshadow.

A Quiet Life on the Farm

Since tying the knot, Brown and Bongiovi have opted for a peaceful life on their farm in Georgia. However, Brown is quick to dismiss any assumptions that she chose farm life merely for aesthetics.

“I’m not doing it for the aesthetic,” she told Vanity Fair in an interview published on February 12. “I’m doing it because I love it.”

She also distanced herself from the trending “trad wife” concept, which idealizes a traditional housewife lifestyle. “There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not,” she emphasized. “If you’re not picking up horse shit or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all.”

Finding Happiness in Simplicity

Brown shared that she feels most at peace while living on her farm. Unlike many celebrities, she rarely checks her phone and entrusts her social media management to others while staying aware of what’s being published.

“I don’t have many friends because of who I am,” she admitted. “I didn’t go to school, so I don’t have the best social skills when it comes to people my own age and friendships. I struggle with that quite a bit. I missed out on a few things. But I’m working through them.”

Despite the challenges, Brown appears to have found joy in her marriage and rural lifestyle, embracing her journey with confidence and authenticity.
