Lucid’s DreamDrive Pro Elevates EVs with Hands-Free Driving and Lane-Change Assist

Lucid Motors just dropped some exciting news for its customers: starting July 30, Lucid Air owners with the optional DreamDrive Pro package will get access to a new hands-free driving mode through a free over-the-air (OTA) update.

This new feature, called Hands-Free Drive Assist, allows your Lucid Air to drive itself on certain highways, no hands needed. It works using a mix of high-tech sensors, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors to keep your car safely on the road. Want to switch lanes? Just tap the turn signal and your Lucid will handle it.

“With our custom-built software and 32 powerful sensors, we’re just getting started,” said Kai Stepper, Lucid’s Vice President of ADAS and Autonomous Driving. “There’s much more to come through future updates.”

So, What’s the Catch?

What About the Gravity SUV?

Lucid’s upcoming Gravity SUV will also get the hands-free update later this year. However, Lucid hasn’t confirmed an exact release date yet.
