Kylie Jenner is honoring the memory of her longtime hairstylist and friend, Jesus Guerrero, by covering the costs of his funeral.
According to a report from People on Monday, February 24, the 27-year-old Kardashians star has stepped in to support Guerrero’s grieving family during this difficult time. “As upset as she feels, she knows it’s so much worse for his family,” a source told the outlet. “She doesn’t want them to stress about money. She’s taking care of expenses, including those associated with his funeral.”
Jesus Guerrero’s Passing
Guerrero’s family announced his passing on Saturday, February 22, through a GoFundMe page set up by his sister, Gris Guerrero.
“It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven,” Gris wrote. “He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more.” She described his death as “sudden and unexpected” and noted that the family was making arrangements to bring him home to Houston, Texas, from Los Angeles.
The fundraiser, initially set with a $60,000 goal, has since raised over $96,000 in donations.
