Kim Delaney, born on November 29, 1961, is a popular American actress. She is best known for role as Detective Diane Russell in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue, a role that earned her an Emmy Award.
In the early stages of her career, she portrayed Jenny Gardner in the ABC daytime drama All My Children. Delaney subsequently took on leading roles in the short-lived series Philly, participated in the inaugural season of CSI: Miami, and starred in the first six seasons of Army Wives.
