Jana Kramer is opening up about her biggest regret surrounding her breast augmentation in 2021, revealing that she may not have made the decision entirely for herself.
On the latest episode of her Whine Down podcast (February 24), the One Tree Hill actress, 41, admitted:
“My biggest regret with my boobs is that I don’t know if I solely did it for me. That’s what I could say would be my biggest piece of advice—it has to be one hundred percent for you.”
Influenced by Her Past Marriage
Kramer confessed that her toxic marriage with ex-husband Mike Caussin played a huge role in her decision to get the procedure. (Kramer and Caussin were married for six years before divorcing in 2021 due to his repeated infidelity.)
“I was in a marriage where my husband was cheating all the time, and I would see the women he was cheating with. I looked nothing like them,” she explained. “I thought, ‘Maybe if I had bigger boobs, he wouldn’t cheat. Maybe he’d find me sexier.’”
While she struggled with the insecurities that came with her husband’s infidelity, she now acknowledges that her physical appearance was never the issue.
Embracing Confidence After Divorce
Despite the initial doubts behind her decision, Kramer has since come to embrace the change, saying she’s finally at peace with it.
“I got to a place where I feel like I did it for me,” she shared, adding that she felt more comfortable with her choice after carefully selecting a trusted surgeon
She even found some humor in the situation, revealing that Caussin never actually got to “feel” her implants after their divorce.
“I had a lot of fun with them post-divorce because Mike never actually got to feel them … which was glorious.”
Considering Removal in the Future
Although she enjoys the results, Kramer isn’t sure she wants to keep her implants forever.
“I think I kind of just want it to be more natural and not have an implant in there,” she explained. “When that time comes for me to take them out and redo them, I don’t think I’d put them back in.”
Her Journey to Self-Love
Kramer has been open about her struggles with body image, especially after having children (Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6) and dealing with self-doubt in her marriage.
In a 2021 Instagram post, she admitted:
“I thought I would be loved more, sexier, or quite frankly, he would choose me. But the better part of me knew that was just a distraction.”
Now, she encourages others to make empowered choices based on their own desires—not external pressures.
“I’m at a place where I feel empowered to do what I want. If you need a push to give yourself that same grace, here it is. Do what’s right for you, and I’ll celebrate with you, too.”
