Holly Hunter is a popular American actress known for her versatile performances in the Hollywood film and television series. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Jane Craig in the American romantic comedy-drama film “Broadcast News” (1987), which earned her critical acclaim and her first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
She gained further recognition for her performance as Ada McGrath in the historical drama film “The Piano” (1993), which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. From 1995 to 2001, Holly Hunter married a Polish cinematographer and director Janusz Kamiński.
