Hoda Kotb is a popular American broadcaster, journalist, television personality, and author. She began her career in television news, working as a news assistant for CBS News in Cairo, Egypt. She later moved to various local news stations, including WWL-TV in New Orleans.

Kotb has worked as a correspondent for the television news magazine program Dateline NBC. Hoda Kotb joined NBC’s “Today” show as a correspondent in 2007. On 2 January 2018, she became the co-anchor of the show’s first two hours alongside Savannah Guthrie.

On 3 December 2005, Hoda Kotb married a former University of New Orleans tennis coach, Burzis Kanga. However, they got divorced in 2008. In 2013, Hoda Kotb began a relationship with New York financier Joel Schiffman. On 25 November 2019, they got engaged.

Kotb and Schiffman ended their engagement on 31 January 2022. On 21 February 2017, she announced on “Today” that she had adopted a baby girl named Haley Joy Kotb. On 16 April 2019, Kotb announced in Today via phone that she had adopted a second baby girl named Hope Catherine Kotb.
