Greta Thunberg is a Swedish environmental activist. She gained international recognition for her efforts to raise awareness about climate change and advocate for immediate action to address the climate crisis.
As a result of the movements of this Swedish teenager, world leaders are now forced to work on climate change. Thunberg’s activism began in August 2018, at the age of 15, she started skipping school to protest outside the Swedish parliament building.

She has spoken at various international forums, including the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP24) in 2018, the European Parliament, and the United Nations Climate Action Summit in 2019.
Greta Thunberg’s activism has earned her several awards and honors, including an honorary Fellowship of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, inclusion in Time’s 100 Most Influential People, being the youngest Time Person of the Year, inclusion in the Forbes list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2019, and multiple nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize.
