Emiway Bantai is a popular independent Indian Hip Hop rapper, singer, songwriter, composer, and actor. He is best known for his songs Gully Boy (2019), Emiway Bantai & Chris Gayle: Jamaica to India (2021), and Emiway: Machayenge 3 (2021).
Emiway Bantai was born on 13 November 1995 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He was raised in a middle-class Sunni Muslim family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Emiway Bantai’s father’s name is Mohammed Aamir Shaikh.
His mother’s name is Fatima Shaikh. Emiway Bantai completes his high school education at Lakshdham High School in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. From his childhood, he loves rapping, hip-hop, and singing.
Emiway Bantai also appeared in the popular Indian Hindi language talent show series “India’s Got Talent”. In 2017, he came into the limelight after realizing his song #SADAK currently the music video has 28 million views as of 2023.
He got inspiration from two American rap god’s Eminem and Lil Wayne. On 4 May 2013, he starts his own YouTube channel named Emiway Bantai which has currently 20 million subscribers and 3.5 billion total views on his official YouTube channel.
In 2014, Emiway released his first debut song called “Glint Lock”, Featuring Minta. In 2018, he has a very ugly beef with the popular Indian rapper Raftaar. It starts after rapper Raftaar said in his interview that rappers like him are not earning money.
After, Raftaar’s Interview Emiway released his diss track “Samajh Mein Aaya Kya” which was released on 13 October 2018. Currently, his diss track “Samajh Mein Aaya Kya” has more than 143 Million views.
After a few days, Raftaar also released his diss track named “Shaikh Chilli”, which was released on 27 October 2018. Currently, his diss track “Shaikh Chilli” has more than 136 Million views.
It doesn’t stop here after a few days Emiway Bantai released his second diss track named “Giraftaar”, which has 125 Million views as of 2023. In 2019, Emiway made his first Bollywood debut with the song “Asli Hip Hop”.
