One day after Josh Hall’s divorce filing, Christina Hall made reference to “an insecure man with a large ego” on social media. Josh posted a picture of himself strolling through the woods with an emoji of praying hands as the caption, but Christina wrote a long essay expressing her feelings.
“Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of ‘how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch …………. Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be …..,” her massage, written in white font in front of a black screen, read.
“I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/ what they did NOT work for should be ashamed. An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but ‘still i rise’ ….” the statement continued. The HGTV celebrity brought up the subject of divorce as she concluded her message.
She wrote, “For those that aren’t aware … divorces do not happen overnight .. & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal…….” According to documents that PEOPLE was able to access, on Monday, July 15, Josh filed for divorce, alleging “irreconcilable differences” following nearly three years of marriage. He asked for spousal support as well.
In October 2021, the couple secretly wed in a courtroom ceremony. In September 2022, they celebrated their wedding with a second ceremony in Hawaii. The application said that their “date of separation” was July 8, 2024. An insider revealed that the pair “had issues in the marriage for quite some time” when word of the divorce became public.
Christina was initially married to Tarek El Moussa, her former Flip or Flop co-star, with whom she has a daughter named Taylor, 13, and a son named Brayden, 8. Hudson, her 4-year-old son, and Celebrity IOU host Ant Anstead were married for a second time.
Several sources told PEOPLE earlier this week that Christina was back in production on The Flip Off, a show where she and Josh were supposed to compete against El Moussa and his new wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather El Moussa, in renovation competitions – without him. In an interview with E! News, Tarek publicly expressed his support for his ex-wife.
“I think life’s tough, s–t happens. I think she’s gonna get through this,” he said. “We’re here to support her. We got one shot at life, we gotta do what’s best for us. Whatever she needs, we’re here to help.”
