Cassie’s family is set to expand. On Wednesday, February 19, Cassie revealed that she is anticipating the arrival of her third child with her husband, Alex Fine. She shared the announcement on Instagram, featuring a series of photos in which she is seen with Fine, 31, and their two daughters.
“🤰🏽💙 #3,” wrote Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, in the caption of her post. Fine also shared the same images on his account, expressing, “Best gift I could ask for.”
Cassie and Fine, who were married in 2021, welcomed their first child, daughter Frankie, in 2019. Their second daughter, Sunny, was born in 2021 and is currently 3 years old.
In a heartfelt tribute last year, Cassie praised Fine’s abilities as a father in a Father’s Day post that featured a video of him taking their daughters for a stroll in a double stroller alongside their dog. “There is simply no one like you,” she expressed on Instagram in June 2024. “I love you @alexfine44 Happy Father’s Day!!”
Cassie’s recent announcement regarding her pregnancy quickly attracted a multitude of congratulatory messages from her followers. One admirer expressed, “This truly gave me chills.” Another fan remarked, “I have never felt such joy for someone I have not met in person. Congratulations to you both! May you be blessed with all the happiness that your heart and soul not only yearn for, but also truly deserve!”
Additionally, another Instagram user commented, “Congratulations on your expanding family; you are living the life you deserve! We hold you in high regard, Cassie, and we admire your resilience. Wishing you abundant blessings.”
Cassie was in an on-and-off relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs from 2007 until 2018, prior to her marriage to Fine. In November 2023, she initiated legal action against her former partner, now aged 55, alleging instances of abuse and rape during their time together. The lawsuit was resolved the following day; however, several other alleged victims have come forward with accusations against Diddy, who has refuted all claims.
In May 2024, CNN aired hotel security footage from 2016, which depicted Diddy assaulting Cassie, causing her to fall to the ground, followed by him kicking and dragging her down a hallway.
In response, Diddy issued an apology for his “inexcusable behavior” via a social media video, stating, “It’s difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life; sometimes you have to do that. I was f—ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses.”
Days later, Cassie expressed her gratitude to fans for their support in a statement posted on Instagram, stating, “The overwhelming love has provided a sanctuary for my younger self, allowing me to feel secure now, but this is merely the beginning.
Domestic violence is a critical issue. It reduced me to a person I never imagined I would become. Through considerable effort, I am in a better place today, yet I will always be in the process of healing from my past.”
She continued, “I appreciate everyone who has taken this issue seriously. My sole request is for EVERYONE to open their hearts to believe victims from the outset. It requires immense courage to speak the truth about a situation in which one felt powerless.”
Diddy is currently incarcerated, awaiting trial following his arrest in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. He has denied all allegations against him and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
