Adipurush is an Indian mythological action film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana directed and co-written by Om Raut, and produced by T-Series. The film stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdutta Nage.
Adipurush is budgeted at ₹700 crore (US$88 million) which makes it one of the most expensive Indian films. On 16 June 2023, Adipurush was released theatrically. The movie received negative reviews from critics, who criticized the film’s screenplay, dialogues, and visuals. It emerged as a box office bomb, grossing over ₹450 crore (US$53 million) worldwide.
