He gained early fame with the Philippine television drama series “Sana ay Ikaw na Nga” (2001-2003) and “Twin Hearts” (2003-2004). Dingdong Dantes rose to prominence for his leading role in the Philippine romance drama television series “Marimar” (2007-2008), alongside Marian Rivera.
From 2005 to 2008, Dingdong Dantes dated a popular Filipino singer, actress, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur Karylle. On 9 August 2014, Dingdong Dantes proposed to his perennial leading lady and longtime girlfriend, Marian Rivera.
On 30 December 2014, Dingdong Dantes married Marian Rivera in the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Cubao, Quezon City. The couple has two children together a daughter named Maria Letizia was born on 23 November 2015, and a son named Jose Sixto IV (Sixto) was born on 16 April 2019.
